Within the framework of the OSMOSE project, the scientific community is writing scientific articles and making presentations at scientific conferences and meetings (in sociology and seismology). These articles contribute to the advancement of research on seismic hazard in Haiti and surrounding countries, as well as on best practices in citizen science.

Haiti is a country with multiple issues: geological, but also political, cultural, economic. Where do these difficulties, failures, sometimes faults come from? Why do they persist over time? To answer these questions, a two-day workshop entitled “Haitian Faults” took place on November 16 and 17, 2023, organized by the laboratory Les Afriques dans le Monde (LAM) and the OSMOSE project. Several disciplines were represented – seismologists, geologists, philosophers, sociologists, anthropologists, etc. – with the objective of discussing the current situation of Haiti, as well as to grasp how Haitian citizens live, organize themselves, resist difficulties or try to remedy them.
